What is different in the new NETS?

Fits in with the need for students to become independent learners.

So it seems that the basic standards have stayed the same but just reordered and refined a bit??

Have the writers of the NETS*S met the NCLB implementers when it comes to creativity?

This is the kind of training we want to have ITLT's and our Instructional Technology Specialists engaged in during the school year. They then will be equipped with strategies to work with other teachers!

Jane -

Has Kristina covered the NETS standards with the HS teachers?

This needs to be a focus for us as we continue to develop our curriculum this year.

We're working on it

Jane -

We will work on this through ITLT and the coaching sessions. Kristina will play a huge role in moving all of this forward.

Was there anything in the Embedded Learning training related to NETS?

seems like we should be trying to produce some of the material but we are skimming the surface

Margie - Kristina brought back really good ideas from the NECC conference. Clint went, too, and is full of exciting thoughts!

Margie - I agree about using Kristina and the ITLTs to help our teachers get on board. I also talked with Christie and Bonnie about this.

Margie - No - the embeddedlearning course doesn't mention the NETS standards. It's pretty generic.

The ITLTs need to be cheerleaders for the seamless integration of instructional technology into teachers' daily practice.
